Verizon Set to Raise Prices on Disney, Hulu, and ESPN+ Perks
Streaming costs are rising once again, and mobile carriers offering bundled packages are adjusting their prices to match. On the heels of NBCUniversal pushing through rate increases across every tier of its Peacock service, Verizon has confirmed that its customers will soon pay more for Disney, Hulu, and ESPN Plus add-ons.
Why the Rates Are Changing and When
According to an update on Verizon’s customer support page, the rate changes stem from shifts in Disney’s content strategy and pricing models. The carrier noted that periodic price adjustments are necessary as programming partner Disney invests in new content and raises its base service rates.
Current subscribers will not see the new charges on their bills immediately. The updated monthly pricing is scheduled to take effect on September 17, 2026.
Breakdown of the New Pricing Tiers
Most of Verizon’s Disney-centric options will see monthly fee increases ranging between $2.00 and $3.00. However, one specific legacy offering will be spared from this round of hikes.
Here is how the monthly fees will look starting mid-September:
- Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus (With Ads): Rising from $10.00 to $12.00 per month.
- Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus (Premium Ad-Free Upgrade): Rising from $20.00 to $23.00 per month.
- For Movie Lovers on Simplicity: Rising from $23.00 to $25.00 per month.
- Non-perk Legacy Disney Bundle (Ad-Free Disney Plus, Ad-Supported Hulu, Ad-Supported ESPN Select): Rising from $24.99 to $27.99 per month.
The only tier escaping a price bump is the $15 Legacy Disney Bundle perk, which will remain at its current $15 monthly rate for customers who hold it.
